6/21/21 workday

1st job:

This job was in regards to a GE Gas Oven. The complaint was of a gas smell when the oven is turned on.

This could be two things, a weak igniter, a faulty gas valve, or a leaking gas line.

First thing I do is check the amps of the bake igniter, only 2.5 amps which is very weak it should be 3.2-3.5 amps.

So I change the igniter, problem solved….

 

2nd job:

This is in regards to a Kenmore Maytag Gas Dryer. The complaint is that the dryer won’t heat up…… So I remove the cover to the dryer to expose the gas valve and igniter… I turn the dryer on and notice it ignites but doesn’t stay on very long….

I test voltages at the control board and notice no voltage going to the temperature selector, or coming on to the control board at the leads which connect to the temperature selector…

I quote the customer for both and she opts to replace….

 

 

3rd job:

This is a call in regards to a Kenmore Maytag Dryer. The complaint is that the drum won’t spin, I take the top off and notice a broken belt, so I replace it, case closed!!

 

4th job:

This was a call in regards to a Bosch Washing Machine. The door latch broke so I had to replace, simple job..
