1st job:
This was a washer job (maytag)…..The customer is complaining about a loud noise while the washer is spinning, I determined that it was the gear case for the machine, the total cost would be at least 500 dollars, the customer declined the repair….
2nd Job:
This was a call for a sub zero refrigerator, complaint was of a leak, I determined the defrost drain underneath the evaporator coil was the cause due to it being clogged…… I cleared it out case closed…….
These are pictures of the disassembly, it was a lot simpler than everything I did but this was the first time I had seen this model so I did unnecessary steps out of lack of knowledge….
3rd job:
This call I received was in regards to a GE electric range. The customer complained that the left front burner was too hot, so I did some testing via voltage and ohms, the heating element was in specification so I knew it was either the burner switch, or the control board.
I had the customer order the switch he said he is going to take care of it himself….
Here is a picture of the board and the wires where most of the diagnostic would be done on a machine like this….
4th job:
This job was an LG REFRIGERATOR. The complaint was that the refrigerator was not cooling…….
So I take a look at the evaporator coils, lo and behold it is a sealed system issue….
Sealed system issues are common on LG refrigerators because they use an inverter linear compressor, which is notorious for failing within the first few years.
It is for this reason I highly not recommend LG refrigerators…
