5/19/21 work day
1st job:
I had a call today in regards to a refrigerator not dispensing water, first thing I did was pull out the schematic so I can see where to put my leads in order to test the voltage of the water dispenser valve.
Before I checked the voltage though I disassembled the dispenser to check the dispenser board for any damage, as well as the dispenser line…..
I did not find any damage and proceeded to disassemble the main board housing assembly to check for voltage.
This is a simple board, anyways I put my leads into their respective positions on the board as they pertained to the water dispenser valve, and I press the dispenser button, I notice that the dispenser valve was giving off 120 volts as within specifications…
As I did this I heard water splash on the floor so I had the customer hand me a cup and I hit the dispenser button again, the cup filled with water….
I don’t know what the issue was or what I did to fix it, but it was a simple job nonetheless
the dispenser button could have been slightly dislodged or misaligned, I am not sure. But electrically the dispenser valve and the board were sound.
Case closed
